“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”

Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu from Tao Te Ching

Hey there. I’m Missy and Trailhead Psychotherapy is my clinical social work practice. It is a culmination of my personal, professional, and education journeys over the past 25 years. I’m a teacher and coach turned clinical social worker. And I am deeply curious about the human experience and consistently in awe of the incredible resilience humans demonstrate.

I get it. Thinking about reaching out to a therapist can feel like a big step, maybe even a tough one. It takes real courage to consider opening up and exploring things with someone new. But honestly? Taking that step could be one of the most caring things you ever do for yourself.

I work with individuals, parents, and families across the lifespan to uncover and give voice to the stories that shape their lives. Therapy offers a chance to pause and look beneath the surface—to notice the quiet patterns and inherited influences that guide how we think, feel, and relate. It’s a space for clarity, connection, and growth.

Together, we explore what may be holding you back, building insight and grounding it in practical tools to support your well-being and relationships. Over time, you can learn to move through life with greater intention—more attuned to your inner currents and more connected to the world around you.

If things have been feeling heavy, confusing, or just not quite right, consider taking the first step. Reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness. It means you're ready to invest in your well-being and create positive change. And while it might feel a little daunting, think of the possibility it holds – the potential for greater clarity, healing, and a stronger sense of self.

You deserve to feel good, and exploring therapy is a wonderful way to support that. If you're even a little bit curious, I encourage you to be in touch. You’ve got this…and I’ve got you!
